Nanon Morsink is a Dutch mixed media artist currently living and working in Andalusia, Spain. A graduate of the Academy of Art in Enschede (AKI/Artez), Department of Graphic Arts, she has built a solid artistic career that merges craftsmanship, experimentation, and a strong conceptual foundation.
Since 1995, she has worked as an independent artist, and since 2017 she has developed her practice in Spain. Morsink also served as a member of the Art Committee of the Municipality of Hengelo and on the committee for the memorial project Menthol in the Netherlands.
Her artistic practice is defined by experimentation with materials — including recycled rope and plastic from Andalusian greenhouses. Through these elements, Morsink explores the tension between the poetic and the everyday, using art as a means of social reflection and critique. Her works evoke emotion, irony, and resilience, transforming discarded materials into visual narratives full of meaning.
Morsink’s work has been exhibited internationally, including the XI WTA Biennial of Contemporary Textile Art (Miami, 2025), the International Biennale of Contemporary Fiber Art (Italy, 2024), and the ESTAMPA Contemporary Art Fair (Madrid, 2024 & 2023). Her recent solo shows include Symphony of Disruption (2024) and Wild at Heart, Weird on Top (2023) at Galería Isolina Arbulu (Marbella, Spain).
Her works are part of important public and private collections such as the RABO Art Collection, the Hengelo City Hall, and the Lindner Collection, and were featured at the World Textile Biennial in Madrid (2019).
With over three decades of experience, Nanon Morsink stands as a distinctive voice in contemporary European art — blending craft, sustainability, and critical thought into works that are both deeply human and visually striking.
