Christine draws her inspiration from the intimacy of homes, from these places of passage where personal traces intersect, brush against each other, and intertwine, for the duration of a crossing.
Primarily an intimist painter, she reveals in her paintings a balance between all depicted elements to achieve an evident harmony where, although only the memory of the coexistence of beings remains, one feels a strong human presence.
These "scenes of life" are populated with souls and imbued with a fascinating mystery. The artist has captured moments of eternity amidst tables, chairs, armchairs, beds, and other humble objects of daily life. The familiar here takes on a dreamlike dimension, evoking a sense of voluptuousness and total freedom for the imagination.
