The fine pieces of slate vibrate under the artist's fingers, revealing what is most beautiful and elusive — light. Caught in the waves, in the dance of the canopy or even on the delicate surface of a scale, light makes everything come alive. The stone awakens. The earth vibrates.
Born in 1981 in Poland, the mosaic artist arrived in Paris in 1996 and then in Nantes in 2010 before settling in Saint Marcel in Brittany. A graduate of ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, Laureate of the Foundation of Banque Populaire for Crafts, and then Ambassador of the Pays de la Loire for crafts in 2017, she pushes her technical and aesthetic research ever further. Today, settled in the heart of Morbihan, she creates bas-reliefs, sculptures, and installations from locally recycled slate.

The imaginary landscapes drawn by slate become inner landscapes, like hidden and perfectly protected intimate planets. When the sublime reveals itself through darkness, it awakens our humanity.
